Non-destructive testing

Visual testing

Testing allows to detect a number of defects of corner and butt welds such as: cracks, incomplete penetration, undercuts, porosity, voids, etc. The testing is done according to the current EN ISO 17637:2011 standards.

Coating thickness measurement

The thickness testing aims to measure – non-destructively, quickly and precisely – the thickness of non-magnetic coatings (paint, plastic, enamel, zinc chromium, etc.) on magnetic substrates (steel, etc.).

Tightness testing

All our gas fittings are tested for leaks, including PE-steel connections, pre-insulated and polyethylene connections. This is done on a leak detection test bed capable of working at 8 bars and higher.

X-Ray testing

As per the current regulation, 100% of welded joints on the medium pressure side and 50% on the low pressure are subject to radiographic test in gas entry units and gas sets. The clients receive test result protocols and images with tracking numbers to certain batches of products that are permanently marked with the same numbers. Products and protocols can be identified in this manner.

Destructive testing

A group of invasive, industrial examinations for obtaining information about the strength and properties of the examined materials. The tested samples of materials and welds are destroyed during such examinations.

A universal test bench for conducting strength tests was designed for conducting material strength tests. During such tests, strength sensors measure the value of the applied load. The testing device displays, on a computer screen and in real time, the measured values and records the maximal value. The digital deflection indicator measures the vertical dislocation of the load platform.
The purpose of the test bench is to conduct, among else, cyclic evaluations of batches of products with PE-steel connections, test of new polyethylene pipes before accepting them for use in the production facility, etc.

Supplementary testing

Testing residential gas connections with a fault detector at 25,000 V for resistance against punctures.
